Its Ok to Be Awkward! Really!!!

Ever think you are the only person who feels awkward in socially related situations? Are you scared of meeting new people, don't know what to do at parties, think you are dumb when it comes to men/women and general relationships? Then this web series may be your next fave!!!

Misadventures of the Awkward Black Girl History
The creative director Issa Rae started the web series with friends gorrilla style from a phrase she originally coined on Facebook. Rae found that her style of awkward black humor was missing from main screen television and decided to attempt to fill that gap. Since the first series, the fan base has grown to over 400,000 strong, they have been featured on CNN, Essence magazine and being recognized by actor heavyweights Dan Glover and Gabrielle Union.

The web series features socially awkward girl 'J' who works at a pharmaceutical company that manufacturers weight loss pills. The series takes us through socially awkward situations with 'J' at her workplace, her coworkers and her first love interest Fred. As the series continues, we get to understand 'J' some more and find her quirkiness very relatable.

You can find out more about ABG and the creater Issa Rae by visiting their website at The Awkward Black Girl Website and her personal website. You can also become a fan of the show at the ABG Facebook Page. You can also follow them on twitter.

The cast is currently doing campus tours, so take a look at the list to see if your campus is a part of the list. For a complete list of schools organized by region click here

The 10th  episode actually premieres tomorrow, so you have a few hours to catch up on the show. Believe me, you wont be able to break from the series until the end.
